i am finally able to rest at home now, with swollen feet and wounded hands. scalded myself again, and pull one of the tendons in the arm, again.
coming to think of it, i have spent nearly one and a half years at waraku to date.
through this eighteen months of working, a lot of things have changed, and a lot of dear friends have been made. it's kind of become like, somewhere i feel almost inseparable with.
somehow or rather, i have beeen rather willing to commit to this company.
i missed the old days when Heeren's outlet just opened, when Shinobu-san, Tomoko-san, and Kiyoe-san were all so kind and patient in their guidance towards me. back then, Heeren was really busy, with all the fun and loving part-timers and asisstant managers.
nowadays the outlet is barely surviving, with very bad sales as compared to before, and with an overwhelming horde of new part-timers, who aren't really fun at all.
i feel so damn tired every weekend, with the new part-timers who give you attitude, who don't commit, who don't give a damn for anything they do. sighs.
everything keeps changing, first shinobu-san and tomoko were transferred, followed by kira's resignation and victor's transfer. and then many others were transferred. here and there change abit, now even david soh is gone. it's become like a 180 degree change.
time waits for no one, time that has passed will never return.
soon, i will have to leave waraku for NS. whether or not i will return after two years, i'm still have mixed feelings about it. because, maybe in two years' time, joey, sishi, yvonne, sili, alvin, won't even be in the company at all. sighs, my dear dear colleagues, you have all become such important friends.

i have not been home for say, three days?! and i know everyone missed me! including my pornographic stalker eugene.
happy? i mentioned your name! hahaha.
let's see. it's monday today, tuesday right now. i should be updating about the Oktober Beer Festival since it has ended, and also the other fun stuff during the entire weekend. i have been drinking every night, since last thursday. like beer, gin, beer, beer, more beer.
let's start with day three of the festival!
after work, i went off for prawning! like finally. all the things that i have been talking about relentlessly previously with the people that i wanted to go with, even the ice cream buffet, has been accomplished, but not with the same people. oh wells. life takes us all by surprises.
anyway, we were supposed to meet at Bishan's Hai Bin Prawning Park! but they were all LATE. can you believe this? i, for once, was actually the first to reach for a group gathering! and the place was damn crowded! it was like, prawning is the best thing to do in the middle of the night, according to the crowd, that is.
but i got bored. seriously. frankly speaking, i really didn't wanted to go because i knew he would come and bugger me about my schedule, nag and nag and nag like it's my fault. though i'm being irresponsibly childish with regards to work for the first time in my life.
but let's not digress, shall we?
yes, i got bored because i didn't catch anything for like half an hour! so i decided to go for the fish spa. was starting to emo, so despite them all not wanting to go, i still insisted to. :C
but yvonne and jandy were nice enough to tag along! sighs, i still do miss the good old nice people.
so we went for the fish spa! which started to perk me up! was so funny. we were laughing so much and embarrassing ourselves like nutheads! and it was quite ticklish, but after awhile, you'd find it very relaxing, with an occasional touch of giggling.

here's my legs on the right and yvonne's one leg at the bottom. apparently i was the only one curious enough to find out how it feels.
jandy's christmas trees! hahaha. i have always been itching to find out how it feels to do the fish spa, and indeed, it itches and tickles! hahaha.
and what's chilling out without booze?! had hoegaarden, one of my loves. but the price there was rather expensive, eight bucks for a bottle. though reasonable too cause they are like so far out in the middle of god knows where.
and so the short fish spa ended, after having spasms of laughing fits for thirty short minutes, which really felt like an hour or longer cause we were having a lot of fun. endless laughters. :)
and so i went back to check on our lovving couple's progress with the prawning. adelena was good with the rod, being the only one able to catch anything at all. but end up i was so sleepy that i let the catch slip back into the pond! felt damn bad. like they wasted three hours there. hehs.
Jandy-san prawning too!
and yvonne acting stupid as usual. HAHAHA!
and then after most of the group went back,
I CAUGHT MY FIRST PRAWN!
AND IT WAS BIG TOO!
hehs. was damn happy. cause i knew i wouldn't like the entire process unless i caught at least one. so i did, and it was BIG! and that sentence rhymes!
look at my stupid face. so proud of my big prawn somemore.
and i cooked it! along with the other ones we managed to catch later in the morning. hahah!
but was quite sad, cause i had to grill them along. and they squirmed. one tried to walk, the other tried to flip, and they all died. lol.
fresh fresh delicious prawns!
isn't mine big? tell me it's big. HAHA!
but sadly no one wanted to eat, so left me and Eva pigging out on the delicious prawns. you guys should seriously try live fresh prawns. they are so good without any seasoning, that i swear most of you will never touch frozen prawns again!
okay, this post is getting way too long for just one night's worth of fun. so i shall save the rest for tomorrow, about my next forty eight hours without sleep (inclusive of clubbing at SupperClub, fooling around at the Beer Festival!).
but i shall end off with this,
i'm itching to go again!
so PLEASE PLEASE! somebody go to the fish spa and prawning with me!

REDCLAW CRAYFISH.
these would be what i will be what i will be taking care of when september starts. i shall be cleaning their shit, wiping their asses, maybe measuring them and not to forget feeding them.
yes yes, i have gotten my FINAL YEAR PROJECT TOPIC! ((((:
finally, the much anticipated project is here! finally i will be able to be like a year three! :D this is damn exciting!!
anyways...
i have had my resignation letter typed out. and printed out. i am just contemplating whether if i should send it in. truth is, i am really sick of Waraku. i know this is not like me, to give up on a job and be irresponsible. but over time the management has really made me sick and tired of working. the past four years working in different places, it's really the first time i feel like i am not being appreciateed as a staff. Waraku Holdings has given me one of the, no wait, THE most unfavourable working experiences. period.
mehhhh.

to the left, to the left. it's not like the escalator is some can and everyone's trying to be the sardines. but i really admire SIM for their students' culture with the escalator courtesy, seemingly wired into their brains or something. they really keep to the left and usually the ones who don't are from ngee ann. which is so embarrassing since im also from ngee ann, just that im usually rushing my way up the escalator than to just simply stand there and pretend that my butt's damn big.
"excuse me, but i think you should shift your butt to the left."
lol. but really, i don't understand why people really just like to stand there and block the way. it's the same for the MRTs and the lifts, where the people die die refuse to move so that others can get out first. will it really kill you to move your asses?
and coouples. they like to pretend that they are one when they are doing that hugging thing or kissing thing. but seriously, your butts are equally big even when you try to have them combined. or maybe they have a coin slot somewhere...like i have to slot in a 20 cent coin so that they will open their gateway or something.

i thank you all.
in six months and five days this blog will turn two years old.
scary how time flies by and struck you in surprise. over the past one year, no doubt the way i blogged my posts have changed.
i believe, from childish and nonsensical, to controversial (at times), crazy and mad (all the time) and most of all, more matured and sensible (which explains the few emo-screamo posts and hiatuses).
from the "liaos, lahs, lehs, lohs and huhs, and sobsobs and =.=" in nearly every sentence, to the more civilized and pleasant posts. from disgustingly tiny fonts, to disturbingly large and emphasized letters.
but one thing has not changed one bit, my stubborn and shameless need for friendship.
everyday someone tells you that, people come and go, friends can be made and forgotten. but i never believed so, or in the sense, i always lived in a fear of losing my friends, any friend that is.
when i was really young, i knew this boy. His name was Paul Sim Yong Qiang. Skinny boy at sight, funny and an entertainer at heart, always the more sensible one between us. All the other kids loved him, and he was no doubt, wittingly a people's person.
i would call him every night and we would chat the evenings away even though we hung out all the time in school. on every alternate week, we would while afternoons away at either of our houses. like brothers, we shared all our secrets among ourselves, and was always siding each other when trouble calls.
and yet, a friendship as strong and indispensable as this, was fragile and easily put behind when we went separate paths and moved on in life. so then i got sick of always keeping track with the whatever and whenever in his life, and his lack of initiation.
five, six years down the road, i spent everyday living in fear, of losing another friend, and seeing to the importance of ensuring a good friendship every time i met someone nice.
till today, i regret for giving up on preserving our friendship. because, today may be the last day you tell your friend that he or she was the greatest person who ever came into your life. and because tomorrow he or she may disappear like they were never there.
if i were to metamorphose my compunctions for this forsaken friendship, i would say that it's a burn scar that covers my entire skin, marking the regret for life in the most significant way.
so my friends, do accept my apology, for i feel a great deal of vindication for being so busy and ever more busier, as we grow old. but do know that no matter how much i change, deep down in my heart, i value each and every single one of you, for all of you makes me who i am today.
i love each and every one of my friends and i thank you all for being there all my life.
and for those who couldn't find your face in the picture, don't bother cause we have never taken a photo together anyway! lmao. but whether or not your face is in it, so long as you see me as a friend, do know that you are well-valued.
because i do too. (:
i especially love the fact that as each day goes by, our friendship grows older by a day.Libellés : :), 3040540406, ALFRED, BEST FRIENDS, great news, KART (:, khalisah, out of the blue gibberishh, poly friends, shiquan, work

anyways, since NICOLE LIM just reminded me, so i shall talk about this then.
how does one judge how close friends really are to each other?
i am not sure about you people out there, but for myself, i judge it close when i decide to disclose secrets, and indulge in heart-to-heart conversations at times.
in a way, that's how i tell these people that i value them as close friends. you may not know my favourite food, my favourite hang-outs, but if you do know a secret or two of mine, you are a close friend.
and in a way, when these people choose not to let me know about their issues, be it woes or happiness, i take it that you do not value the closeness of the friendship.
i understand how some people choose not to talk about problems, as it just makes them sad when they talk about it. but i don't understand how one could not share the joy of being in a relationship. as to having me find out on my own, or to hear it from someone else, i guess it jsut puts me off.
during work i was upset, not just because i was sick, but because you chose to change the topic. maybe we really aren't that close after all.
i don't know if you really do make people feel as though you have fallen for them, but you do make people feel that you value close friends. in which, for the first time in my life, my intuition failed me.
enough about things not worth my time. back to the more important things to do.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDWIN HUANG BAO BAO!
seriously cant wait for this sunday where i can meet my beloved bunch of ex-ex-colleagues and HAVE FUN! :)

working at Waraku really gives one a wider exposure, well, in terms of stupid people anyway.
Scenario One :

Tonpei Yaki :
Simple egg omelette placed over shredded cabbages with loads of mayonnaise and yaki sauce sprayed over.
Garnished with a dash of parsley powder.
Cost : $6.80
One smart customer comes in to dine at our respective restaurant and decides to order a portion of Tonpei Yaki, this customer then makes a special request of no cabbage.
Too much money to spend and don't know where to waste it? Come down to Waraku and order your special portion of Tonpei Yaki! It may look just like a regular egg omelette with mayonnaise and yaki sauce, but really it's not! It's Tonpei Yaki without the cabbage!
Scenario Two :
Saucers :
In typical Japanese Restaurants, saucers are provided so that you may put your wasabi or respective shoyu dips for your sushi or sashimi and what-nots.
One convenient customer came in to dine with her boyfriend and requests for saucers even though she made orders for ramen.
Station Server hence provides this particular customer with two saucers, one for her, and the other presumably for her boyfriend. However, the respective boyfriend does not require the use of the saucer and leaves it as it is on the table. The lady, on the other hand, asks for one more saucer.
Thinking that the customer did not notice the spare saucer on the table, the server picks it up and shows the customer who instead ignores the server. When the server returns with another saucer, the customer takes it as if kept on a long wait.
Too much stress at work and intend to look for a few victims for easy peasy abuse? Come down to Waraku! We provide you with a wide variety of service staffs of various genders and ages for you to torment and order about. Come on down while our service charging rates are still at 10% off the total bill, or should i say, while staffs last?
Scenario Three :
Menus :
As a form of advertising, the prose found on printed menus is famous for the degree of its puffery. They frequently emphasize the processes used to prepare foods, call attention to exotic ingredients, and add French or other foreign language expressions to make the dishes appear sophisticated and exotic.
Several different groups of cutsomers prefer their food to be served this way.
Server : "Hi thank you for waiting, this would be your Tan Tan Udon, the spicy noodles."
(Note: server makes an announcement of food arrival, along with two descriptions of the particular product.)
A few of the Customers : *Stares helplessly with mouths opened widely and at a loss as to what to do*
Five minutes later~
One of the few Customers : "Hey, so anyone ordered the Tan Tan Udon?"
The whole lot of Customers : *Stares helplessly with mouths opened widely in unison, again at a loss as to what to do*
Another few minutes later~
The Customer who spoke up first : "Oh! Is it the Spicy Noodles?! I think it's mine."
Always wanted to be in that situation where you don't have to speak up for yourself and act like a know-it-all?! Come down to Waraku! Simply order any item from the menu and forget the item name, enjoy minutes of time wasted sitting amongst your friends playing dumb and helpless.
Oh, customers, they never fail to provide such fun at work.

updates!
the past week has been rather unbearable, and finally i decided to just shed some light on what has happened all together last week.
first of all, because i failed my module, my dad has been talking to me sarcastically. the things he said, the stuff he did, sometimes i just wonder if one is only recognised by his or her grades in a family.
second of all, my mum's been forcing me to quit my job cause she thinks its affecting my jobs really badly, but seriously, the thought of having no jobs and no money really kills me. i have so many stuff to pay for, with my bills busting to $200 and with debts owed to others cause i took up some additional lessons earlier on, plus my stupid laptop loan, its really jsut plain tiring.
third of all, holding two part-time jobs really kills you, you work every other night, you go home late every single night, you don't get to see your family cause they are out in the day, you head home to quietness every single night and sometimes when you really wish for them to be there, you don't. all i wanted was a good rest at home and yet, they could offer a quarrel with you.
forth of all, to my ex-fyp-partner, fuck off. you are a bloody loser, go ahead and bitch about me behind my back, nobody will believe you. and thank you abi. :)
and then two other more private issues. pfffft.
a fight with my eldest sister back at home was really the last draw. all this in one week, and my closest friends were all busy. i was all alone. sometimes i really just, don't know what to do with my life.
on the birghter side, we had a work chill-out on saturday nnight. we all went for steamboat!
i know i'm a big eater, but when things aren't looking so good, i tend to end up binging, aka eating even more. and that's what i did, really, till all of them stopped and ended up looking at me, i guess, disgusted that i can stomach that much stuff.
so i stopped the binging, and we jsut sat around and had a chat,, or rather a long speech from David soh the manager. lmao.
much thanks to Jesline and Yvonne! for staying overnight with me, cause i really didn't want to go home and face my troubles. we walked from bugis till raffles and till clarke quay, then river valley and finally plaza singapura. was really good to jsut sit around and chit chat and do nothing.
oh oh, and best of all, i met up with 4o4 on saturday! i was really feeling very upset in the morning, and decided not to leave house anyway, but in the end, i made up my mind to go find them and i was glad i did. being around them, really bring my troubles away.
thank you all, really, thank you. :)

okay, a short update on what has been going on recently.
i failed my biochemistry and instrumental and analytical chemistry, no surprise really.
i am not going to be taking my final year project next semester.
i am no longer partnering Sharon, somehow i feel that its a good thing, to be frank.
i am hoping to request to pair with Shalini and in hopes that the lecturer will not be bastard enough to not allow it. and i'm talking about Mr F-day in case you are all wondering.
i almost got transferred out of my outlet to Bugis! caught me in a dilemma actually, cause i really worked till Heeren seemed like hell for me, except for when i'm working with my favourite people. so i made up my mind to stay, cause i guess evventually, everything will make a turn for better?
i have been making plans for my future, going to start being real frugile, turning back into the stingy Alfred in secondary school, and hopefully it works.
i am going to be taking five modules next semester and good thing i have KHALISAH TAN WITH ME! which really got me into heaving a great great sigh of relief.
oh, and the way i'm looking at it, i presume i would be taking my final year project with my Immunology and Bussiness Entrepreneurship modules. which is good, cause i will have tons of time to focus on my project, and in turn score a better grade, hopefully.
i am so busy working that i have resorted to scheduling my blog posts, this means i can blog up to five times everytime i sign in, and these posts will be released accordingly to schedule. have already tried it with the previous few posts that came in consecutive, so i think its working out pretty nicely. lmao.
i have been disappointing you, really, being so busy and unable to talk to you much, to catch up on what is going on over there for you, so much so that i'm guilty for being so useless.
and to not end this on a depressing note, I AM ADDICTED TO LEFT 4 DEAD NOW. zzzzz.
ok, this is not say, a non-depressing note either. =.=

i still can't shake that feeling off me, on how i stole the show that day, on how i came out in the first place, when all i was hoping for was to be among the top three finalists.
four titles to my name, four titles that proved that my hard work paid off. but in the end, i am all alone.
i came upon a realization recently, my grades sucked, i am repeating modules yet again, i neglected some of my friends, and some of my other friends neglected me too.
everyone is busy, everyone is having their own life, now where's mine? someone told me that my life is very perfect now, but is it?
i have not seen kart for months, our first atttempted meeting was ruined by her wella photoshoot.
i have not seen qiaoyu for months either, our first attempted meeting ruined by her own over worked body taking over her during her sleep.
day by day, time jsut flies pass and while away, i am either working, or trying to prove myself at the lessons. now that i have reached the top, where will i go, where should i go? i am lost, so lost.
somebody give me a signal.
i am not allowed to take my final year project next semester, something that made me feel so excited about as it marks my coming of as a third year student at last, and the moment i told my partner about the news, her first reaction was to find herself a partner.
true, i can't blame her for being selfish, but i hate the fact that she was being so raw and realistic right in front of me, over the phone. oh well, that's the least off my mind now. whatever.

there was a screech of the knob and the door clicked shut. five minutes later i emerged with my spectacles fogged beyond fogged and my jaws unable to clench still all that profuse clattering caused by the coldness.
i thought i would have died, in the i-am-not-exaggerating-this-time-way.
yeahh, in case any of you guys were wondering what happened, well i got stuck in the freezer room at work today. with the temperature at a minus ten degrees and my lungs exhaling frozen mists of breaths, yeah i pretty much thought i was going to die if no one opened the door to find me trapped inside.
but at least i was calm enough to not pound and scream and claw the door like i was really going to die. so oh wells. not so embarrassing much.
too long out of the restaurant and i have rusted, badly. should let common test take all that entire credit too. for causing me to be immobile and super glued to the study desk for such a long week, where my reflexes simply shut down like a power failure as all my joints rust up like metal. my body totally weakened at work today and i nearly spilled a flaming pot at the customer's face.
the good news :
it landed on me.
the bad news :
it landed on me.
lighted fuel on your arm is practically like a ball of fire burning mercilessly on your arm. good thing the customer was understanding enough to know that it was not intentional, and that i was so freaking glad that the entire pot did not fall on her.
this is one bad week. :(
plus plus plus, i just came online to find weisheng gloating about posting my standard chartered run pictures on facebook. oh boy, tomorrow morning i will have comments as comments on how shit i look like. because i really do.
