and so, after the event has already been up and about, and ended, i finally decided to blog about it. LMAO!
AVIVA IRONMAN TRIATHLON 70.3KM MARCH 2009
first of all, i would like to comment on the fact that this event is really large-scaled and that it's a big contributor to the wastage of water in Singapore, like seriously.
the never-ending queue of 100plus that we prepared in the early wee hours of the morning. soon triathletes started coming in and pouring 100plus over themselves, thinking that its ice mountain. LMAO. there were cups and sponges and opened energy gel packages all over the floor. basically it was a major chance for litter bugs to enjoy themselves, really.
i went over in the morning being all alone and bored, since TOH WEISHENG had not came for the thing. then i met this crazy bunch of people, really. my first impression of them was that they were really a close bunch of friends, then again, they are really crazy. and the craziest thing they said to me was, they commented on me being a super emo-kid. which amused me alot really, cause i can't seem to think up of their facial reactions when they get to know me better in future. lmao. but i can definitely see myself saying to them, "look who's crazier?!" .
left to right, wan yin, jiamin, me and sue ting. poor sueting, i suspect eugene has a thing for her or something, hence the constant teasing. LOL. just kidding.
left to right in the top row, hui guang, wan yin, me, guo sheng.
left to right in the bottom row, eugene, jiamin and sueting.
i would say that the event is really life-transforming, i went alone and all bored, with several people looking at me and wondering why the hell would i go and volunteer for an event alone, but i went home with a new bunch of friends. :) oh and not to mention, a horrible sun burn. lmao. looked like a lobster fresh from the stove for two days straight.
oh, and i would like to emphasize on the fact that people in the middle of a really long run, can get really desperate. shall not elaborate in case i get nightmares again.Libellés : :), Aviva Ironman Triathlon March 2009, freak accidents, randomization

okay, a short update on what has been going on recently.
i failed my biochemistry and instrumental and analytical chemistry, no surprise really.
i am not going to be taking my final year project next semester.
i am no longer partnering Sharon, somehow i feel that its a good thing, to be frank.
i am hoping to request to pair with Shalini and in hopes that the lecturer will not be bastard enough to not allow it. and i'm talking about Mr F-day in case you are all wondering.
i almost got transferred out of my outlet to Bugis! caught me in a dilemma actually, cause i really worked till Heeren seemed like hell for me, except for when i'm working with my favourite people. so i made up my mind to stay, cause i guess evventually, everything will make a turn for better?
i have been making plans for my future, going to start being real frugile, turning back into the stingy Alfred in secondary school, and hopefully it works.
i am going to be taking five modules next semester and good thing i have KHALISAH TAN WITH ME! which really got me into heaving a great great sigh of relief.
oh, and the way i'm looking at it, i presume i would be taking my final year project with my Immunology and Bussiness Entrepreneurship modules. which is good, cause i will have tons of time to focus on my project, and in turn score a better grade, hopefully.
i am so busy working that i have resorted to scheduling my blog posts, this means i can blog up to five times everytime i sign in, and these posts will be released accordingly to schedule. have already tried it with the previous few posts that came in consecutive, so i think its working out pretty nicely. lmao.
i have been disappointing you, really, being so busy and unable to talk to you much, to catch up on what is going on over there for you, so much so that i'm guilty for being so useless.
and to not end this on a depressing note, I AM ADDICTED TO LEFT 4 DEAD NOW. zzzzz.
ok, this is not say, a non-depressing note either. =.=

i still can't shake that feeling off me, on how i stole the show that day, on how i came out in the first place, when all i was hoping for was to be among the top three finalists.
four titles to my name, four titles that proved that my hard work paid off. but in the end, i am all alone.
i came upon a realization recently, my grades sucked, i am repeating modules yet again, i neglected some of my friends, and some of my other friends neglected me too.
everyone is busy, everyone is having their own life, now where's mine? someone told me that my life is very perfect now, but is it?
i have not seen kart for months, our first atttempted meeting was ruined by her wella photoshoot.
i have not seen qiaoyu for months either, our first attempted meeting ruined by her own over worked body taking over her during her sleep.
day by day, time jsut flies pass and while away, i am either working, or trying to prove myself at the lessons. now that i have reached the top, where will i go, where should i go? i am lost, so lost.
somebody give me a signal.
i am not allowed to take my final year project next semester, something that made me feel so excited about as it marks my coming of as a third year student at last, and the moment i told my partner about the news, her first reaction was to find herself a partner.
true, i can't blame her for being selfish, but i hate the fact that she was being so raw and realistic right in front of me, over the phone. oh well, that's the least off my mind now. whatever.

WITH LOVE, FROM LIVERPOOL.
i;ve got ROYAL MAIL!
mail with love by the way. and don't get too jealous people.
i was so excited right from the moment she told me she sent me something, but i had to wait a week or more for this package to arrive, and then still had to go down to the post office to collect it. so by the time i got my hands on it, there was this mixed collection of feelings.
okay, now my address' exposed, according to her.
i couldn't stop smiling like an idiot when i saw this, but i had a shock too when i opened it up.
with love, from liverpool. nothing beats a letter filled with love, and a tee-shirt full of warmth.
and yes, i was shocked to the bits. it was a reallyyyyy long letter, full of love, full of sentences that made me smile like an even more idiot on the bus.
and she got me this really cute shirt, you shouldn't have.
now its my turn, but i haven't found anything suitable to send to her yet.Libellés : :), shiquan

alright! so here you go, at long last, all the while i have been lazily avoiding and dreading this post, but here it is! in case any of you out there want to complain about. lmao!
the long awaited 45-shots-post regarding the SAFARI ZOO RUN 2009!
the long stretch of people, cramping up the place and making the weather hotter than it should be. i guess this proves that over-population can really cause global warming to become worst than it should be.
yiwen and i taking pictures whilst being put on a longgggg hot wait.
still in the meltdown, waiting for the release of the people so that the race can start and we can eventually get some fresh air.
then i got really really bored and started taking nonsensical pictures.
and this lady seems to have a phobia for my camera.
this would be the first animal we saw in the zoo area, after being stink-infused in the safari area without anything to look at.
thanks to miss yiwen, who smartly wore slippers, we didnt get to run, hence i told her she better pose for some running shots.
look at her go! wooo!
the animal that yiwen was so interested in.
the statue that i was so interested in. i kind of regret this shot.
the white tiger! roarrrr!
i suspect this dude over here was the one that attacked the mad indian man, apparently he kept "patrolling" the premises and eyeing all of us. lmao, nevertheless, they still had alot of spectators despite being famed for attacking a mad dude. but yeah, they aren't in the wrong anyway, so yeahh.
this really cute little girl who was very cooperative with me. hahaha!
tiny elephant statues we found on our way towards the elephunk zone.
larger statues we found on our way throughout the elephunk zone..
and another one.
and yet another one.
and then there was a herd of them.
we said hello to the tuxedo dudes stoning by their air-conditioned room, which i would die to just get in. the weather was seriously, causing me to fulminate on the spot.
"what'd ya lookin' at? never seen a Ralph Lauren Suit?!"
oh and here's another elephant, though we were already miles from the elephunk zone.
and you are not seeing double, yiwen jsut didn't like the previous shot.
and the tallllllllllllllllllllll giraffe bush sculpture. kind of cool though.
got into the rain forest area and saw this fat crabby patty.
oh and some archer fishes too.
no, she's not inviting you to sit with her, she merely dropped her bottle.
wormy!
and i thought they were fakes at first.
i think this is much more appetizing for the eyes.
and butterflies here aren't scared of humans either, or maybe they were just busy with the nectar frenzy.
i feel madagascarish all of a sudden.
but this dude here apparently doesn't dance not sing.
quack quack and away~
mouse deers, these things are really a handful, the babies are so small, you might mistake them for guinea pigs running loose.
oh and i found this bird thats been high on pills.
lol no, i think its just another freaking huge pigeon that bobs its head even harder.
and finally! it got tired. LMAO!
some more mousedeers!
and more camouflaged animals.
another plate overflowing plate of butterflies having a feeding frenzy.
and then we found yet another plate, this time i think the flowers aren't very appetizing so there weren't so many.
and then before we left the place, we saw the mother and kids group that was so desperate in getting away from us.
then after the whole thing, we managed to have some more fun at the gift shops.
peeeek-a-boooo!
no that's a fake snake. and needless to say, we didn't purchase anything since everything's freaking expensive and ridiculously priced.
after the whole thing, we headed off to nicole's house for a potluck CNY partttttyyyyy. but before we had fun, the taxi company had to irritate us.
uber dumb cab-calling system, after making us wait for way longer than the waiting time we were told, the cab that was to come fetch us fetched someone else instead. don't you think its dumb? seriously, i have yet wrote in to complain about them, but arghs, forget it. too busy working every day to bother about dumb cabbies like this.
so this marks the end of my longest picture post, and hope you survived reading it!
