in case you guys didnt get what i meant to portray the previous time, what i wanted to say was that, we have been living under the terrible fact that our country's media has always, ALWAYS been copying and taking a leaf out of what other countries do. its almost as if we never had any creativity. look at "deal or no deal", its like a pirated version of what they have in Taiwan, and then look at "who wants to be a millionaire", i dont even want to get started on that. worst of all, we have Singapore Idol. not like its a bad idea because almost all countries have the Idol contest shit, but more of because the way they advertise the contest and the way the judges are, its like a complete asianised version of the American Idol.
Dick Lee's like Randy Jackson, jsut that he is the Randy Jackass version. and Ben Lim's like Simon Cowell, just that he is the Simon Cowell with a pair of worn socks stuck in his nose. and Florence was so Paula Abdul. (note there's the "was" because im commenting what i recall of the singapore idol when it initially started out, i dont catch it cause its a product of singapore) they could have at least, advertised it differently, like give it a different logo or feel because suddenly, we are all watching tv and realising how desperately singapore wants to be like hollywood, and talk about bollywood.
i dont know, im not blogging because i think im some smart shit who feels that everything is right, but like, look at it this way, the media jsut gives us every single right reason to complain bout them, and boy do they not take comments either. they jsut continue with the copycat tactics like nothing is happening at all. sooner or later everybody's going to just get cable tvs. loserss.
so you see, this is why i was rather pissed on my previous post, but i wasnt meaning to be fierce. im still nice. :)
so getting on with my life, like duhh. i jsut found out i flunked my common test! and the good news is, i get this assignment to complete, such that AS LONG AS I PASS, i get 50% overall for 20% of my grades for microbiology this semester. that is like freaking good.because initially i would have gotten like, 40% overall. so at least once i complete my assignment, i get a confirmed 10%. yay.
and by the way, i have a new philosophy in life. my GPA is no longer my priority, passing my modules would be my new priority. poly shucks.
it has been a long week, and boy can i wait no more for tomorrow. planned to meet melissa to catch THE MUMMY THREE and dine at GYUKAKU! i forgot to mention that i have quit from that place, but yeah, here it is : IM NO LONGER WORKING UNDER REINS INTERNATIONAL! shitty company with shitass politics. i was jsut a part timer, hello? but i was glad i totally nailed down one of the arrogant staff there. i kind of realise i run into danger all the time, im so rash and irrational. im weird. and i like~
